Playfully drawing their name from that of a simple Nashville bank teller, Darla Farmer is an eccentric carnival-rock band that spews musical venom in the form of some wildly adventurous avant-garde, folk, and Americana. With seven full-time members that hail from all different parts of the country and include a violin and brass section, the resulting blend is one that is impressively unique, yet universally accessible.

While the recently released album, Rewiring the Electric Forest, has experienced rave reviews and solid college radio spins across the country, Darla Farmer’s live performance has become known as one of “epic proportions.” Check out the Upcoming Show Dates to see if they are coming close to you soon!

“Were Tim Burton to create a carnival side-show, Rewiring the Electric Forest would be a fitting backdrop.” – Decoy Music, 4.5/5 stars

“...[Darla Farmer] makes ska and thrash play nice together, putting some excitement and verve out there for the delectation of the masses.  They rock, and well.” – Nashville Rage

“Imagine The Arcade Fire locked in a carnival funhouse and being smothered by a band of insane jazz-folkies.” – The Full Review, 5/5 stars

“Listening to Rewiring the Electric Forests is like listening to a Klezmer band who found a bunch of Mighty Mighty Bosstones records, went to a Tom Waits show with Wayne Coyne, got drunk, took a cab to a recording studio and laid down a few tracks just to see how they'd come out.” – First Coast News
